OUR HISTORY
Every country has its foundational myths. Where myths does not mean what is idealized and false, but what is taken as a truth for the future. One of those truths is that industry has founded, in great part, the Uruguay of today. And companies like us, that have more than sixty years in the construction of Uruguay, feel part of that foundational myth.
Foundation means effort. We are three generations struggling for the quality of different products and excellence. We want to pass the torch to future generations with a solid company, in continuous renovation in search of better ways and products to satisfy our clients.
Since our very first steps we are the company leader in extrusion for Uruguay. The city council of Montevideo approved our first pipes in the 50's, and our registered mark PLASTIDUCTO, identified by its three parallel stripes, has become the name of the plastic pipe and a synonymous of quality and confidence.
In the late 70's we incorporated more complex technologies, high density polyethylene and large diameters, which permitted us to project to foreign markets. There are PLASTIDUCTO 's pipes in Ushuaia ( South Argentina), Fortaleza ( Northeast Brazil), Bolivia and Congo (Equatorial Africa).
Being coherent with the above stated, rewarded us with the Propyme Prize for Innovation in 1998. We want to take our leadership and reliability to all the region.
We innovate in solutions such as water saving toilet tanks, structural profiles for agriculture, hydroponics gutters, pipes up to 800 mm for special uses, etc. Our staff is permanently dedicated to know you and advice you on every aspect of our operative, products and services.
In our eagerness to continuous improvement, we have certified our Quality Management System under ISO 9001:2008 for “Design, manufacture and trading of polyethylene, polypropylene and PVC pipes, profiles and accessories”.
